19th century carved gilt convex mirror circa 1870.
Fine quality circular convex wall mirror, surmounted by a right facing carved eagle with chain and ball in it’s mouth. Mirror with ebonised reeded slip around the outside, carved and moulded gilt edge further decorated with ebonised balls. Carved swags to the bottom of the mirror.
Fine looking mirror that would be striking in many rooms around the home.
Area of expected plate loss to mirror which is photographed, losses to gilt work and restoration to minor breaks to the swags.
