Late 19th Century French Winter Scene Painting

If only to be a little birdie in a tree listening to what these two are talking about. This charming painting, purchased in France, transports you to a country road enjoying blue skies after a winter storm, arm in arm with your best companion. This would be a lovely addition to any room. Unfortunately, we were not able to decipher the artist’s signature. Although the ornate gold frame does have a few splits, which are shown in the photos, it is sturdy and showcases this painting beautifully.
