18th Century Antique Wood Chest With Wrought Iron Handles & Strap Hinges

This chest is from the 18th century, New England. It has had some modifications over the years, but remains mostly original. Made of early growth pine. It is 45″ long, 22″ deep, 19″ high, with internal 4″ x 4″ x 21″ storage compartment with it’s own lid. The top is made of two wide pieces of wood and has separated a small bit, and there is some wear and scratches and movement in the wood, consistent with it’s very old age. Handles and strap hinges are lovely original decorative wrought iron. There is a metal key hole which I believe is not original, key is missing.
