The beautifully aged antique commode, circa 1870, retaining the original rectangular shaped
brown / wine marble top with attractive veining, resting above the conforming very well made solid walnut wooden case fitted with three graduated drawers. The top drawer opening to reveal a divider interior, each dovetailed drawer affixed with elegant brass bail handles, ribbed molding framing beautifully figured burlwood paneled drawer fronts, flanked by classical pilaster columns with hand carved detailing, recessed panel sides, skirt with scalloped shaped accent, rising on short feet terminating on casters.
