Vintage Design
The ‘ABN’ lamp was commissioned for the ABN AMRO bank around 1975 and produced in a limited edition by Aldo van den Nieuwelaar’s own company. The lamp has a white plastic shade that rests directly on a transparent acrylic glass base. The light pictured used to have small spacers to create more space between the shade and the base and these spacers left some marks, but the spacers are not with this light anymore. We have 3 of these lamps available, all in a good condition with signs of age and use and manufactural differences. As the lights were made in his own workshop, the artist took the liberty to sometimes change characteristics of the design so the lights do sometimes show differences.
