Amazing Venetian toleware lanterns
We are proud to offer a fabulous matched pair of 19th century Venetians toleware and wrought iron lanterns in original paint. Completely handcrafted detailing leaf and flower décor, gold gilt frame sections and untouched from its original form. These example still have in place their original wrought iron support brackets and would have been individually attached to a procession pole allowing the lanterns to swing freely in the central section whilst a procession took place, surprisingly this function still works, therefore allowing the lights to sit centrally once the frame has been attached to a wall as shown in the photos provided. The original wrought iron pole support is also still in place, which makes these examples highly unique and very desirable as an interior décor piece of lighting. Recently rewired and ready to be used with a 240v power source. These are the most stunning lights we have had in our store and would look amazing placed either side of a fireplace or hallway entrance.
