Vintage Design
A classic table lamp in patinated disko metal. Made by Danish designer Just Andersen in the 1920s. Model D80, signed underneath. This piece is in a good vintage condition. Just Andersen (1884-1943) is a fine representative of modern Danish neoclassicalism. In terms of style, he belongs mostly to the Art Deco movement, although his work clearly goes far beyond the classic Art Deco style. Just Andersen created a lot of attention about his work. He attended world exhibitions from 1918 and had several large solo exhibitions abroad. He received many awards and honors, and not least he is represented at museums around the world including the New York Metropolitan Museum. NB: Sold without the lamp shade.
