Artist Notes
Written on the back of the painting is Braley’s name and address at 250 Washington Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. Also on the back is a label with the title of the painting “120 Below Zero” and the address of the Newark Art Club in Newark, New Jersey. The Newark Art Club was formerly the Fawcett School of Industrial Arts from 1908 to 1928 and prior to that it was the Evening Drawing School. He was a New York City artist and illustrator.
