Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this stunning suite of English Country House fine upholstered seating with feather filled cushions
A very elegant and well made suite, it looks to be made by Howard Chairs LTD or a similar specification company. The frames are Walnut and beech wood, the seat base is a traditional Victorian coil sprung affair, the seat cushions mostly feather filled with one armchair back rest in foam. The chairs are a his and hers pair meaning one is slightly larger than the other
These are quintessentially English country house fine seating, they would have been made originally for a grand study or boudoir. The upholstery is very fine, silk threaded, its similar to the floral Howard & son’s ticking but has a wider banding, it is pure quality throughout
In terms of the condition there will be some light age and use related patina marks which are very small here and there in the upholstery, mostly its in very fine order and looks amazing from every angle
Included in the sale is 3 pairs of arm covers

Condition:
Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition.
Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
