Henry Talmadge Link (pictured here) had been a banker in Lexington, N.C., and New York before he organized Dixie Furniture Company in 1936 with 90 employees. He went on to create the furniture lines Link-Taylor, Young-Hinkle, and finally Wicker by Henry Link. His wicker furniture is a perennially popular collectible.
