An amazing find, the chaise has been fully restored to include a light staining to the walnut legs, the leather has been lightly stripped back and hand dyed this glorious cigar brown colour. The leather upholstery is the original hide and in remarkable strong condition considering its age. At some point the square leg has had a spacer fitted to the bottom, you can see it’s a slightly different color
The inside back leg is stamped with the order number 4532, the castors are stamped Cope & Collingson who the only company who Howard trusted to make their castors as they were to the exact same specification.
I’ve has this exact same chaise before and if you do a little googling you will see one or two other examples in fabric and most likely my other one in leather which has sold

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
