This impressive vitrine has a shaped cresting rail carved with acanthus above a pair of shaped doors with bevelled glass panels and canted corners applied gilt-bronze flowerhead paterae. The side panels are of corresponding design above an egg and dart frieze and shaped apron centred by a gilt-bronze acanthus and shell mount. The whole is raised on four tapering square section reeded and gilt-bronze mounted legs terminating in block feet. The interior with silk back panel and three glass shelves.
This important vitrine formed part of the original furnishings of the perfumery department at Harrods Department Store.
