Made from walnut with extensive carvings and matchbook veneered outer panels. There are three-door compartments and one lower dovetailed drawer. All four areas are lockable.
Each outer cabinet shows high relief carvings, featuring Victorian & Renaissance inspired faces, crest with sword and dagger and other floral motifs. An absolutely beautiful adornment for an amazing work of craftsmanship. The lower section of carving features two griffons flanking a crest. This section double as the drawer and is neatly sandwiched between a long band of gadrooning. For those who are unfamiliar; Gadrooning is a decorative motif consisting of convex curves in a series. There are two hidden compartments inside the cabinet. Each will need to have a lid made for it. If you look at the picture of the outer doors open you can see these areas along the bottom. These would have originally been covered and used as a shelf the cabinet is supported by two massive paw feet along front that draw you in from the get go. A perfect statement for any setting, and even better when paired with the matching desk.
