Created in China during the mid-20th century, this is a hand-woven rattan and bamboo vintage basket planter on a hand-carved ornate wooden stand. Basket is hand-stitched to the wood base with brown patina. Opens to a large space with wood reinforcement on the inside of the basket. Generous sized hand-woven vessel style body. 4 carved wooden legs with hand-stitched bamboo brace. Light gilding brushed over wood and basket. This basket planter would function well in any room of the house. Could also be used as a storage basket.
