Murano Barbini Signed Vintage Sommerso Red Gold Flecks Italian Art Glass Fish Figure Sculpture

Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso red and gold flecks Italian art glass fish sculpture on pedestal. Documented to Master glass artist and designer Alfredo Barbini, circa 1950-60s. The piece is actually signed underneath “Barbini Murano”, which is very unusual on this smaller pieces. The red color is more intense around the head and starts fading to clear up the body and to the tail. Published in his catalog. The fish stands on a dome base filled with gold leaf inside. Would make a great display piece on any desk, dresser or side table. Mid-century era. It measures 7 1/4″ tall x 5 1/4″ long x 2 3/4″ wide at the base.
