Restored Vintage Handmade in Chelsea Bordeaux Leather Armchair Part of Suite

This piece is part of a suite, all restored to the same finish and standard, I have two two-seat sofas, one three-four-seat sofa and five armchairs

These pieces were handmade in Chelsea in the late 1970s, they were shipped over to the British officer’s mess in a barracks in Germany, I’ve seen pictures of very grand high ranking military officials and even Royalty sitting in this suite, sadly the original owner kept a few choice pieces for themselves along with the pictures

Each piece is exceptionally heavy, the base’s are traditional English coil sprung, each spring is hand tied eight ways, hessian padded and strapped, the cushions both back and base are deep heavy feather filled, the back cushions are sewn into place

The upholstery has all been hand studded in place using oversized antiqued brass studs, the finish is truly stunning

These genuinely are the penultimate gentleman’s club seating, they are cool, comfortable and with very thick hardwearing leather

Prior to dispatch all the pieces will have new hessian base covers fitted as the cover you can see at the moment is a little tatty around the edges
