A wonderful Art Deco floor lamp made of cast brass with three arms and a lampshade upholstered in a sheer fabric. The fixture is adorned with a Scarf Dance figurine after the Austrian sculptor Josef Lorenzl, depicting a dancing female. This lamp is of exceptional quality, featuring a cast iron weight in the base, beautiful decorative elements, and individual light switches for each of the three arms. It was most likely produced by the Swedish manufacturer Malmö Metallvarufabrik in the 1930s. Malmö Metallvarufabrik was founded in the Swedish town of Malmö in 1916 and initially specialized in nautical fixtures. By the 1930s, the company had become known for its artistic and sculptural pieces, often featuring a distinctive Art Deco aesthetic. The Austrian sculptor Josef Lorenzl was born in Vienna in 1882 and began his career working at a foundry in the Vienna Arsenal, where he mastered the techniques of bronze casting. He was also a skilled ceramicist, renowned for his Art Deco figurines created for the porcelain manufacturer Goldscheider
