Vintage Design
An iconic Dutch-industrial desk or table lamp designed by designer and architect Louis Kalff; for the Philips Company, Holland, 1955. This is the first edition with a brass frame and the black disk-shaped perforated black lacquered shade. The shade is the miniature of the roof of the by Kalff in the 1950s designed distinctive building named “Evoluon”, in the Dutch City of Eindhoven, which now houses the National Technology Museum. The lamp is signed on top with the Philips trade mark in copper. An identical pair is available. Price is per piece.
